Database Administrators use specialized software to store and organize data so that users can securely access the information, such as customer or vendor information, that they need. Database Administrators help design, maintain, backup, and secure an organization's databases as well as create reports requested by users. Database Administrators must have extensive knowledge of database systems and expertise in the specific software, such as Salesforce, Oracle, or MySQL, used by their organization.
